Job Summary

Achieve BU’s financial objectives through Trading activities

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify trading opportunities in soft oils and palm oil and create commensurate trading strategies for both physical and futures market. Use arbitrage, cross commodity spreads, calendar spreads and other opportunities in the market. Manage the trading strategies approved by the Management under policy guidelines.
  • Follow price trends and market information to generate trading opportunities.
  • Follow group guidelines on Risk Management and report daily positions, MTM and counterparty exposures.
  • Share market insight with other group trader and supply chain buyers to enhance market knowledge across the trading desk.
  • Work with speed in the highly challenging and volatile market to capture short term trading opportunities.

Work experience requirement

8 – 10 years of experience in a large commodity trading house handling assigned categories of trading

Experience in global soft oil (soya, sun, rapeseed, canola and corn) trading is mandatory

Qualification

Graduate with tertiary qualification in Economics/Business/Agronomics
