Job Summary

Manage the entire value chain of commodity paper trading sign off and implementation whilst ensuring absolute compliance on trading positions on Paper/Futures-Accurate database.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage, monitor and audit outsourced contractors with respect to on going operation of all services responsibilities.
  • Generate briefing documents on issues, proposals, recommendations and best practice methodologies.
  • Submit and monitor all commercial orders for management approval.
  • Authorise the procurement of all services and goods.
  • Authorise the payment and allocation of all service provider invoices. Manage the LPO and PR process, while ensuring proper reporting and process efficiency improvements.
  • Manages the invoice payment & allocation process, while ensuring proper reporting and process efficiency improvements.
  • Manage Commercial Managers and Contracts Specialists, with assistance on reporting and process efficiency improvements.
  • Delegate work with clear work instructions and provide performance feedback to team members.
  • Manage team action plan to ensure work efficiency within set deadlines.
  • Provides technical guidance and assistance to the various facility maintenance personals under his control.
  • Manages staff to ensure they are led from the front and directed appropriately.
  • Provides on job training & career development.
  • Works with Trading department team to resolve shipment based issues.

KPIs

  • Ensure all paper trading processes are completed within timeline such as port declaration, vessel nomination, shipping instructions, etc.
  • Maintain and update paper trade position on daily basis for all respective companies under FOB PK/PG & CIF Rotterdam basis and for local deliveries.
  • Paper trading division - absolute compliance on invoicing immediately after risk date. 
  • Immediate posting of invoices to Oracle & SAP will prompt finance team to follow up on payment status without delay
  • Weekly exceptional report of non-compliance and violations to traders, creating FOB Paper Trade report to enable internal companies to view their physical loading quantity and contracts. 
     

Work experience requirement

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managing paper trading for commodities

Qualification

Minimum Diploma In Business Administration or preferably Bachelor Of Arts with at least 2nd Class Honours (Upper Division) In Marketing Management
