Job Summary
Responsible for performing electrical maintenance activities in plant to ensure high equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards. The technician will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical, and automation systems used in UHT and aseptic processing environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan, follow up, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for production machinery, including electrical and automation equipment across UHT and packaging lines.
- Coordinate and initiate machine improvement projects and support installation, commissioning, plant upgrades, and modification activities.
- Procure machinery parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels of electrical spare parts to ensure quick availability during emergencies.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in control panels, PLCs, sensors, VFDs, motors, actuators, and SCADA systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize unplanned shutdowns.
- Maintain and update maintenance records and logs in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and ensure all maintenance activities are performed within set timelines and budgets.
- Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while carrying out maintenance tasks, complying with all relevant legal, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment), HACCP protocols, and plant-specific SOPs.
- Liaise with department heads on all safety matters related to electrical equipment and process, prioritize, and ensure their effective and consistent implementation.
- Provide training and coaching to employees, contractors, transporters, and others to enhance understanding and capabilities related to Electrical Safety.
- Maintain documentation and provide monthly reports
- Investigate incidents and ensure management programs are effectively implemented.
- Coordinate with authorities to prepare and submit required reports and documentation on time.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and utility teams to coordinate maintenance during planned or unplanned downtime.
- Guide, support, and educate junior technicians and subordinates to develop their skills, ensuring safety and work discipline during shift operations.
- Attend to machinery breakdowns promptly and perform other assignments as directed by superiors.

Work experience requirement
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within a non-dairy UHT or aseptic food & beverage plant (e.g., juices, plant-based drinks, sauces).
- Experience with PLC-based systems, automation, and instrumentation used in UHT processes.
- Familiarity with aseptic packaging equipment (e.g., Tetra Pak, SIG Combibloc) is a strong advantage.
