Job Summary

General Manager Operations role is responsible for overall operations management and administrative reporting for the sales team. The GM provides leadership, defines the strategic roadmap, and ensures successful execution of the organization’s business operations in alignment with its vision and mission.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee factory operations, including production capacity utilization and other operational areas such as cost-to-serve.

  • Direct and coordinate cross-functional departments—Production, Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Supply Chain—to drive efficiencies and optimize overall business performance.

  • Develop and implement (post-approval) long- and mid-term business strategies, as well as the annual budget plan for the BU, in consultation with the ED, MD, and Board.

  • Monitor internal and external competitive landscapes, industry trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities, exploring avenues for market or product expansion.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to support business growth and sustainability.

  • Ensure full compliance with legal requirements and the organization’s Code of Conduct.

  • Provide leadership at all organizational levels, ensuring alignment with business targets and objectives.

  • Collaborate with HR to implement effective human capital management practices.

  • Act as a role model by coaching and mentoring teams to enhance capability and engagement.

  • Drive full adoption of IFFCO Values (PIECE), Vision, and Policies across the organization.

Work experience requirement

  • Standard Work Experience required    
  • Atleast 15-20 years of experience in the business    
  • Hands-on experience of running the  food business operations for minimum 3 Years    
  • Strong Techno-Commercial expertise in bakery ingredients business    
  • Experience of working in multi geographies/multi cultural environment.    
  • Experience of managing mid - large sized team    
  • Specific Work Experience required 

Qualification

Minimum under graduate, preferable an MBA from a recognized university
