Title:  Engineer

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of UHT, Tetrapack and processing equipments. The role ensures continuous and efficient  support to plant operations, strict adherence to process controls, and effective execution of preventive and breakdown maintenance activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Blending, Filling & Packing Operations & Maintenance

  • Operate and maintain UHT, Gable Top & Tetrapack operations and process.
  • Monitor and control parameters to ensure uninterrupted operations to plant operations.
  • Ensure  function within design parameters, and initiate corrective action in case of deviation.

3. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance for all utility equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues during shift operations.
  • Coordinate with other engineering teams and OEMs for major repairs and overhauls.

4. Documentation & Audit Support

  • Maintain shift logs, maintenance records, calibration certificates, and compliance registers.
  • Support internal/external audits (e.g., ISO 14001, EMS, GMP, FSSAI, etc.) and respond to non-compliance issues.
  • Ensure timely calibration and maintenance of online monitoring instruments (pH meters, flow meters, TDS, etc.)

5. Safety, 5S, and Continuous Improvement

  • Follow and enforce all safety, environmental, and GMP guidelines during shift activities.
  • Drive 5S practices in utility areas and participate in root cause analysis for failures or incidents.
  • Identify energy-saving and water reuse/recycling opportunities in line with sustainability goals.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of UHT, Tetrapack & Gable Top and all other processing  equipment and blending  operations.
  • Familiarity with all control systems.
  • Experience with SCADAonline monitoring systems, and automation in operations.
  • Good understanding of  troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Proficient in documentation, report writing, and communication with regulatory bodies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong team collaboration skills.

 

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Environmental Engineering

 

Industry: Food Processing/ Dairy / FMCG / Pharma / Chemical Manufacturing

 

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years experience with utility systems, strong knowledge of environmental regulations, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive sustainability and efficiency across utility operations.
