| Job Summary |
| Assist in performing breakdown and preventive maintenance welding and fabrication jobs. Assisting welder with loading and unloading of welding equipment, setting up and maintaining the welding equipment, and assisting the welder in the welding and fabrication process. To provide essential technical support in the installation, repair, and maintenance of refinery machinery. This hybrid role requires a basic proficiency in both metal fabrication (welding) and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure the continuous operation of the edible oil refining process. |
| Key Responsibility Areas |
| • Assist to perform Breakdown and Preventive Maintenance Jobs. |
| • Attending on-site safety meetings. |
| • Identifying safety risks and hazards, and complying with relevant safety procedures and regulations. |
| • Awareness of safety procedures, use of PPE and work permit systems. |
| • Maintaining cleanliness of work areas. |
| • Assisting welders to set up the material and move them between work areas. |
| • Ensuring welders have required materials and tools available, such as rods and grinding discs. |
| • Marking cutting lines on material. |
| • Maintaining stock levels of materials and supplies with welder. |
| • Loading and unloading trucks for engineering equipments. |
| • Following welders instructions to adjust welding machine temperatures. |
| • Employing buffers and grinders to clean welds. |
| • To have basic knowledge of various types of metal. |
| • Assisting in operating various tools and types of welding and drilling equipments. |
| • He must be able to identify spare parts for welding jobs. |
| • Assist in the repair and overhaul of pumps, centrifuges, heat exchangers, and gearboxes. |
| • Perform routine lubrication, oil changes, and filter replacements on refinery equipment |
| • Help align motors and shafts; assist in the replacement of bearings, seals, and gaskets. |
| • Clean and maintain specialized refinery tools and shop equipment. |
| • Experience in edible oil refining plants preferred. |
| • Experience in low pressure boiler maintenance preferred. |
