Job Summary
- The Production Manager leads a dedicated team of operators and technicians to maximize flour heat-treatment throughput and plant efficiency while enforcing strict food safety and hygiene protocols. This role drives operational excellence by maintaining GMP compliance, ensuring audit-ready documentation, and directing preventive plant maintenance to minimize downtime. By personally mentoring staff and utilizing root-cause analysis to eliminate processing failures, the manager secures a highly skilled workforce and a continuous, defect-free production cycle.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate FHT production line and lead production KPIs. Ensure optimum and cost-effective operations of the plant or packing section.
- Mobilize HSE agenda in daily operations, regularly participate in safety walks, and take relevant safety actions. Ensure safety, HSE compliance, and implement internal controls for documented processes.
- Assist in scope-based and need-based packaging development through relevant trials and specs development in each category of the Agri Food business group.
- Adhere to production plans and schedules, focus on packaging constraints, and support line manager in managing operations scheduling.
- Execute efficiency management through OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency), TPM (Total Productivity Management), and champion section 5S activities.
- Partner with BU HR for manning-related matters, monitor headcounts and relevant issues, lead operator's training, and ensure accurate training w.r.t JDs (Job Descriptions).
- Ensure best utilization of available assets with target OEE, operate at minimum HC levels, and support manufacturing manager on new projects and implementations.
- Implement and practice basics of TPM, including Kaizens, and ensure controls on all changes management.
- Record production and batch data in Oracle, ensure timely cycle counts, accuracy, material usage variances, CC (Cycle Count) coverage, and wastage control.
- Understand, reflect, and practice IFFCO’s vision and values.

Work experience requirement
- 6-10 years of experience in managing FMCG production
Qualification
- B.E. / B. Tech. Food Technology (Diary or Mechanical)
- Hands-on experience on Packaging machines and high-speed lines is an added advantage
- Certified TPM practitioner and have fair idea of end of line automations
